For almost three years, I tried to sell stuff online… and couldn’t.

Not “a few months.” Not “a couple bad launches.”

Three years.

We had traffic.

At one point, one of our sites was getting close to 20,000 visitors a month.

So I did what most people would do.

I built a product.

It was a course called “Creating Slogans.”

On paper, it made sense.

We were ranking for a bunch of slogan-related keywords. People were coming in every day. It felt like a perfect match.

So we built the course. Put up the page. Added the checkout.

And then…

Nothing.

No sales.

Not one.

At the time, I thought it was everything else.

Maybe the page design was off. Maybe the copy wasn’t good enough. Maybe the pricing was wrong. Maybe the email sequence needed work.

So we kept tweaking.

Changing headlines. Adjusting buttons. Rewriting sections.

Still nothing.

What I didn’t realize at the time was much simpler.

The offer was wrong.

Not “slightly off.”

Completely wrong.

People weren’t coming to learn how to create slogans.

They were coming to find slogans.

They needed examples for papers. Ideas for projects. Quick answers.

We were trying to sell them a process… when all they wanted was an outcome.

That was the first real shift.

And it took a long time to see it, because online…

No one tells you.

There’s no one on the other side saying:

“Hey, this isn’t what I want.”

You just get silence.

And silence makes you guess.

So you start changing the wrong things.

Design. Copy. Pricing.

When the real problem is upstream.

That’s why selling your own stuff is so hard.

There are too many points of failure:

The page The copy The offer The pricing The sequence The traffic

Any one of those can break the sale.

And in the beginning, you don’t know which one it is.

What finally worked for us wasn’t our own products.

It was affiliate products.

Because the offer was already validated.

People were already buying.

That removed one variable.

Then another.

Then another.

Until we could actually see what was working.

That’s when things started to click.

If you’re trying to sell something online right now and it’s not working…

It doesn’t automatically mean you’re bad at marketing.

It usually means you’re trying to solve five problems at once.

And you can’t see which one is actually broken.

What you need is a cleaner path.

A way to control the variables.

A way to guide someone from interest… to decision… without losing them in the middle.

That’s what we focus on when we build funnels.

Not just pages.

The entire flow:

What someone sees first What happens next How the offer is positioned How the follow-up works How the decision gets made

If you want to see how we structure that end-to-end, click here to learn more >>

And if you want help figuring out where things are breaking in your current setup, you can book an Action Plan Call from that page.

We’ll walk through it with you.

No guessing…

Have a great weekend!
